The today's teenagers
After working on youth magazines, we have realized a questionnaire given to the oldest pupils of the school (aged 14-16). Our friends have talked about their problems, values and leisure.
Problems :
the main problems of today's teenagers are aids, drugs,
violence, and also lack of money, loneliness, housing difficulties and
unemployment.
>>> The young people are often incited to use tobacco, alcool and drugs. Some of them are also very violent, mainly in the big cities. Aids is still a problem among the youth because a lot of teenagers don't use condoms (they don't want or are not informed enough). Unemployment is not their current problem, but they that they will be concerned in the next 5 or 10 years.
Values :
the most valuable things are family, friendship and love. Less important but
also essential : sport, sexuality, music and studies. On the contrary,
internet and religion are less interesting and very
>>> Today's young people are very close to their family and their friends. They think about their future, when they will live with wife/husband and children. They are interested in sexuality, want to be well informed, and talk easily about it
Leisure :
normaly all teenagers have leisure : the activities that are prefered are :
"be with friends", music, sport, TV, cooking or working in
the house, computer games, reading magazines or books.

In 2005, the most popular movies in France, were
americans. The only French movie that has been a success among young
people was "Brice de Nice" : this is the story of a young
man who would like to be a surfer, in the French city called Nice,
where there is no wave to go surfing on ! Waiting for his wave, he spends
his time joking and bashing all the people.
It's a comedy, but really a silly one. Adults think it's quite ridiculous, but for us, young people, it's a nice movie, that makes us laugh a lot. |
